Simplifying and understanding various topographic indices for keratoconus using Scheimpflug based topographers.

Keratoconus (KC) is a progressive ectatic corneal disorder affecting mainly the adolescent age group.[¹] A thorough slit-lamp examination supplemented with retinoscopy, detailed documentation of refractive error, and corneal topography helps in the diagnosis of KC. In early cases of keratoconus, the classical slit-lamp signs may not be visible in early stages and hence corneal topography is the most reliable diagnostic tool.[²,³]
