Preface

The third edition of Case Reviews in Ophthalmology builds on the foundation we originally created: a case-based approach to ophthalmic topics. We updated the book by presenting new cases in every section, revising existing cases to reflect the latest treatment and management guidelines, and including additional figures to enhance the previous material. We believe this new text will improve your study experience and provide a more comprehensive educational aid for the vast quantity of information that we are required to master.

We hope that these cases continue to be helpful for understanding clinical problems and preparing for exams.

Acknowledgments

We are grateful to our colleagues, friends, and family who helped in the preparation of this new edition.

We are fortunate to work with a first-rate publishing group at Elsevier: thank you Kayla Wolfe, Nani Clansey, Laura Klein, Shweta Pant, Manchu Mohan, and your wonderful team.

And of course, we are most thankful to our families: Mae, Jake, Dawn, Peter (PJ), and Stephanie for their encouragement, love, and support.
