Биомеханические свойства роговицы и окулярные aberрации при миопии

Biomechanical properties of cornea and ocular aberrations in myopic eyes.

Uncorrected refractive error is one of the most common causes of visual impairment and avoidable blindness in India.[1] With the highest prevalence reported among East Asians,[2] India has an estimated prevalence of 4.795%–7.4% in various surveys conducted in different parts of the country.[3,4] Myopia is the most common type of refractive error in India.[5,6] Axial elongation in myopia is known to be associated with certain ocular structural and biomechanical changes.[7] In-vivo assessment of corneal biomechanics has become possible with the introduction of the ocular response analyzer (ORA) (Reichert Ophthalmic Instruments, Depew, NY, USA).[8] Based on bidirectional applanation tonometry, the instrument gives the corneal biomechanical parameters that are the indicators of corneal viscoelasticity and rigidity – corneal hysteresis (CH), corneal resistance factor (CRF), Goldmann equivalent intraocular pressure (IOPg), and corneal compensated intraocular pressure (IOPcc).
